Wisconsin Singing Idol Competition 2025 - Guidelines
- Please join respective whatsapp group where rest of the important instructions would be shared. It's only for contestants. Each of the contestant parent in group singing is required to join. Do not join unless you have registered for the competition. To avoid spam whatsapp autorobots joining the group, please type in the url in your phone browser to join the group.

- Last Date to register for competition is 26th Sep (Friday) for Milwaukee and 10th Oct (Friday) for Madison. Reason is: We need a weekend to consolidate the registrations and order trophies based on no. of registrations which takes a week.
Part 1: Online Performance submission
- Contestant to submit song video online on their Facebook or Instagram.
- Up to 30 points based on likes by audience on the post.
- Song must have been recorded after 15th Aug.
- Post must clearly call out competition name and URL link. Post should also have a hashtag #sewasingingidol25 on it. It will also help organizers get publicity of the fundraiser cause. Please click here to see detailed rules and example of a post. Points will not be awarded if requirements are not met.
- Once the requirements are met, an expert Singing teacher will provide a 1-1 feedback on the video, objective is to nurture and refine talent.
Part 2: On Stage Performance submission

Contestant gets 3:30 min per song (15 sec grace time). It is perfectly fine and encouraged to end the song earlier but exceeding the time limit will result in negative points. The participants will be penalized for not following the rules on time limits.
- Karaoke music would be provided by the participant. Shruti is allowed but other live instrument (tabla, guiter etc.) is NOT allowed.
- Group contains maximum 5 participants.
- Up to 140 points would be evaluated by a team of judges.
- Up to 30 points would be decided based on audience votes. Please encourage your friends to join the contest and vote for you (and other contestants) using an online form available to only those present at that time. Audience entry is completely FREE.
- Reading the lyrics from a paper is not encouraged but allowed whereas holding or using any electronic device (phone etc.) in hand or otherwise (for queues or feedback) is not allowed.
- This is an “Indian film songs” competition. participants singing non filmy classical music renditions will be disqualified.
