The Colonia Spring Cleanup was organized to help maintain the cleanliness and safety of Charlie Shaughnessy Park, an important recreational space for the local community. Volunteers gathered to collect litter, clear debris from park pathways, and help restore the park environment so that families and visitors could continue to enjoy the space.

This activity provided an excellent opportunity for youth volunteers to engage in meaningful community service while learning the value of civic responsibility. Working alongside parents and community members, volunteers contributed to maintaining a clean and welcoming public space. The event also encouraged greater awareness about the importance of keeping shared community spaces clean and environmentally sustainable.
