Dr. Hira Fotedar is the ex-President, Sewa International, Cleveland where he has volunteered since 2008. He is the owner of Fotedar Associates LLC. He joined Eaton as manager, product engineering, in the automotive group and rose to various corporate leadership positions in product design and development, manufacturing, quality assurance, operational and business excellence. He retired as Vice President Corporate Quality and Operational Excellence, Eaton Corporation where he served as Chief Quality Officer.

Prior to joining Eaton, Dr. Fotedar was Associate Professor at the Isntituto de Pesquisas Energia Nuclear (IPEN) Sao Paulo, Brazil where he established programs and conducted research in materials for nuclear and automotive industries. He currently serves on the National Advisory Board of The National Resource Centre for Materials Technology Education.

Dr. Fotedar is the Founder and former President of Indo-American Kashmir Forum (IAKF) a human rights advocacy on behalf of Kashmiri Hindu refugees.

Dr. Fotedar holds a B.S, Metallurgical Engineering from IIT-BHU, Varanasi, India, M.S and PhD in the same field from the University of Washington, Seattle. He is ASQ Fellow, a Founder and former Chairman, Ohio Partnership for Excellence. He is an Alumnae of Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners. He is the recipient of numerous corporate and industry awards for excellence in leadership and service.

Sunil is the President of Cross Thread Solutions and a Director of Sewa International Cleveland. As the President of Cross Thread Solutions and a Strategic Planning & Finance Management Executive assists many Fortune 100 & 500 companies in designing their financial planning and consolidation applications. As a Cost & Management Accountant, he had held leadership roles for various companies in India.

Sunil has a long history of working with non-profits in the areas of education. He is the Founding Director of Young Innovators’ Society. This organization was founded in 2011 with the primary focus of encouraging students in the K-12 programs to get more interested in the STEAM fields. Over the past 7 years, we have had over 1800 students who were taught robotics, 3D printing, entrepreneurship and other skills. He personally teaches robotics to high school students. Many of the students were able to win in the regional tournaments in robotics and have also represented and won many trophies at the state level.

Prior to joining Sewa, Sunil was the President of the Ekal Cleveland chapter and was involved in spreading the awareness for the functional literacy programs that are being offered to the most rural and underserved areas in India.

Currently, he is also the coach for the Solon High School Academic World Quest team. This team has recently won the regional tournament and is going to the National competition this April.

Sunil in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, he is also a Certified Cost & Management accountant. He also holds many certifications in software applications.
