Overview

Seattle Sewa chapter started in 2014. Volunteer Engagement has been a key focus area with multiple volunteering opportunities and volunteering models to suit volunteers' time and interest.

Exciting Project Launch of LEAD (Leadership, Education and Development) program 2023 for growing adults with capable guidance of real-world situations and project concepts and methodologies with tips and guidance from Subject Matter Experts from reputed Universities to nurture the young talent for a better Service to Society.

We are overwhelmed to the support and Registrations in this quick turn out of event.

    LEAD Seattle 2024-25

    Youth Engagement Program for High School Students (8th thru 12th Grade)

    Program Info:

    • LEAD (Leadership) Program is a Sewa International Volunteer Development Program for High School students 8th thru 12th Grades.  

    • It is designed for the wholistic development of the teenagers.

    • It provides a platform to the participants to serve the greater community and experience the joy of giving.

    • It introduces socially conscious leadership in youngsters.

    Program Objectives:

    • Expose the youth to socially conscious leadership in the community
    • Experience the joy of giving by getting involved in the community service projects
    • Develop a strong sense of inspiration and motivation as they venture into the world

    Program Details:

    • Program duration: November 1st, 2024 - October 31st, 2025
    • Minimum 50 hours of community service
    • High-School Student
    • Remain Active in the program year-round
    • Weekend community service during School year
    • Immersion hours during Summer  (weekdays and Weekend)
    • Community Service hours outside of Sewa are not transferable
    • Parent participation as Volunteer
    • Sewa volunteering hours are not to replace credit at school classes (Gym, Orchestra, Other Curriculum activity).
    • Selection criteria: Limited seats, on first come first served basis. Open to all racial, ethnic, religious, and gender backgrounds.
