St. Vincent House is a dedicated hospitality house that serves as a home away from home for families who struggle financially with the costs of hotels and food in order to be near a loved one who is hospitalized.
Sewa Indianapolis chapter prepares dinner once a month and Drops Breakfast for the next day.
It is our tiny effort to provide the comforts of home so that a family can maintain their daily rituals as much as possible amid tough circumstances.

Sewa Chicago LEAD 2025
(LEAD - Leadership, Education And Development)
Eligibility for LEAD: Incoming and Current High Schoolers (Grades 8-12)
Eligibility for Design To Lead (DTL): Minimum 1 year experience with LEAD and currently in Grade 9 or above
Program Dates : December 2024 to October 2025
Registration Fee: $100 per student. $75 for each sibling
Registration Deadline: Sunday, November 24, 2024
Sewa Milan - LEAD Kickoff: Saturday, December 7, 2024
Commitment: All participants should exhibit commitment to the values of Sewa and act with integrity and discipline always. Each participant is expected to commit to at least 100 hours of volunteering. Parents need to commit to being the activity coordinator for at least 2 activities during the program and need to continuously support their children. Each DTL participant needs to commit to consistent participation in the weekly learning sessions. Parents of DTL participants need to be a mentor for their child's team on a rotational basis.
Benefits: As part of the LEAD program, young adults are provided with opportunities to participate and / or lead various activities and to earn volunteering hours. Sewa International will provide certificates as well as a recommendation for The President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for qualified participants. Volunteering hours accumulated through LEAD activities will only be counted.

LEAD PA/DE 2025 - Leadership Program for High School Students
General Eligibility: High School Students ( in or incoming), i.e, current 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th graders. Only students who are sincerely committed to the Sewa mission should apply. It is parent mentor driven program and parents/guardians are expected to help running the program.
Selection Criteria: Limited seats, on first come first serve basis.
Application Deadline: February 28th, 2025 (will close early if we reach the capacity)

Session 2: 2pm February 2nd (Sunday)

Please Note: Each applicant must be accompanied by an adult volunteer, who can participate in the Sewa LEAD activities. Organized by the Sewa Boston Chapter, Nrityameva Jayate 2025 is an exciting dance competition celebrating the rich diversity and cultural heritage of Indian dance forms. This vibrant event brings together talented performers of all ages, showcasing classical and non-classical dance styles.
All proceeds from the event will support Sewa International’s SHE (Sanitation, Hygiene, and Empowerment) and SAC (Sponsor A Child) programs, helping empower communities and improve lives through education and health initiatives.
Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with rhythm, energy, and artistry while making a meaningful impact!
RULES AND GUIDELINES
1) 5 years and older can participate in the dance competition
2) Minimum number of participants in a group must be 5. Please register as a group and send us the full names and age.
3) For dance performance duration in each category please see the below table:
**Please note all performance durations include the time for setting up of props and cleaning up after the performance
4) Please use no more than 3 props for your performance
5) We have an esteemed panel of judges who will be judging the dances based on the judging rubric that will be shared with the choreographers. All decisions will be final.
Sewa International has partnered with Tri-Valley Haven Food Pantry for this event. Volunteers will help with sorting and organizing groceries and other donated items.

“Mangala Nidhi” roughly translates to “auspicious welfare” in Sanskrit. Get Inspired Houston (GIH) is an annual summer internship program offered to young adults and college/university students geared towards assisting the welfare of immigrant and refugee communities.
Lead Houston is an annual summer internship program for high school students. This program offers students the opportunity to directly serve the community, learn from leading members of the Houston area, and develop skills that can be carried throughout their educational and professional careers.
