Join us for an enchanting evening at the Sewa Washington DC Musical Concert Fundraiser, featuring the heart warming performance of "Ye Jo Desh Hai Mera: A Story of a Nation." This captivating musical journey celebrates the rich heritage and diverse culture of our homeland through melodious tunes and vibrant storytelling. The group has done over 1000 shows in India and US. The promo video for the concert is here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh41LDujVak).  It offers a beautiful history of 75 years of India's progress through Bollywood songs.

The proceeds from this concert to go support two local Sewa DC projects:

            • Sewa Washington DC chapter is initiating ASPIRE (Achieving Students Progress, Instilling Resilience, and Excellence) program to help provide assistance with Science Olympiad teams in 10 Fairfax county Title I elementary schools. We will hire "Sewa Ambassadors" to assist the teachers in these schools with coaching for Science Olympiad teams. The students come from underserved, refugee, and immigrant communities. Sewa's ASPIRE programs in the Houston and Bay area are supported by AmeriCorps.
            • The second project that Sewa DC supports is to provide a Free Health Clinic and Weekend Day care center for Seniors in Maryland. We partner with American Diversity Group to provide transportation for the Seniors to come to the daycare center "Aastha" and volunteer doctors provide free health checkup including various tests and referral services. Last year, Sewa and ADG provided free checkups for 700+ indigent patients in the Maryland area.

Come, be a part of this musical celebration and contribute to making a significant impact in education and disaster relief efforts. Together, we serve better.

“Mangala Nidhi” roughly translates to “auspicious welfare” in Sanskrit. It is a great way to involve your family and friends in financially contributing to our organization’s work during your family events. It is inspired by the Hindu ethos of sharing our life’s joyous and auspicious moments with society, and a practical medium to channel our personal and family happiness towards community and social responsibility.
