Dr. Ramaswami Balasubramaniam (Dr Balu) is currently a member at the Capacity Building Commission at Government of India. He is a development scholar, author, public policy advocate, and leadership trainer. An empathetic leader who has spent more than 30 years of his life in the service of the rural and tribal poor in the forests of India.

He has also founded and nurtured organizations like SVYM, GRAAM etc, and authored 5+ books.
