Southern California witnessed widespread destruction on Tuesday as a fast-moving brush fire erupted in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood near Los Angeles, prompting the evacuation of over 1,00,000 residents.

The Palisades Fire in the Los Angeles area., which has already scorched more than 19,900 acres, caused injuries to one firefighter and burned multiple individuals, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Emergency teams continue to battle the flames as the fire spreads rapidly through the region.

Adding to the crisis, another fire—the Eaton Fire—ignited miles away in Altadena, near Pasadena, early Wednesday morning. This blaze has already consumed 1,000 acres, leading to immediate evacuations in the affected areas.

Both incidents highlight the severity of the wildfire season in Southern California, leaving communities in urgent need of support and assistance.
