SAKSHAM:  Samdrushti Kshamata Vikas Evam Anusandhan Mandal  is a charitable organization with its head-office in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. It was established with an aim to support and bring people with disabilities into the mainstream of society. SAKSHAM plays a key role in advocacy and acts as a service provider in the field of rehabilitation, education, training and assistive technology.

SAKSHAM hosts a large number of eye care centers and centers for people with Multiple Disabilities across the nation.

Currently SAKSHAM is running a number  of projects for INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT OF THE DISABLED like Eye banks, audio library,Braille books center , etc.   With the objective to engage, enable and empower people with disabilities, SAKSHAM setup Divyang Seva Kendra (DSK) to help provide rehabilitative support to persons with disabilities. DSK adresse the unique challenges faced by individuals with disabilities  by providing  supportive and complimentary services to promote education, vocational training and employment SASKHAM has its presence across the country, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gujarat to Manipur.

There are established DSK’s in 12 states in India and they are seeking Sewa’s  help to open 2- more such kendra’s to make a wider impact . Plan is to strengthen the existing centers and establish 1 or 2 centers each in the states of North East; Uttar Pradesh; Uttarakhand; Jammu & Kashmir; Rajasthan; Bihar; West Bengal; Orissa; Andhra Pradesh; Maharashtra; Karnataka. Sewa International is seeking to raise $120,000 for this project.

(Approximately 500+ beneficiaries for every DSK centers)

1. One Time Cost for setting up one DSK center is USD 1299.
2. The monthly expense for running one DSK center is USD 365.
