SEWA DC: DONATION DRIVE FOR SHELTER HOUSE

Sewa chapter kick-started its stream of activities in 2015 with donation drive that started on March 1st and ended on May 16th 2015. The team collected essentials - 40 new pillows, 12 Car seats, Number of Toys, Swings, Diapers, Wipes, etc., that were donated to Katherine Hanley Family Center at Fairfax. The team also conducted a drive and collected six boxes of lightly used clothes to the INOVA Fairfax hospital. On May 16th, Sewa has arranged a play date for the shelter resident kids with the 24 Sewa families participating with their kids spending 2 hours in the afternoon. The Shelter management apprised the volunteers about the Shelter House and its activities. Sewa served snacks and the participants appreciated the Shelter volunteers with gift cards.
