About Sewa International’s Girls' Hygiene Project: https://sewausa.org/Toilets

It all began in 2013 when Jayanthi Ramanan ji scouted the streets and slums of Bangalore and realized that girl children are not sent to school due to lack of toilets and menstrual hygiene issues. She appealed to Sewa USA for this great cause of putting girl children ahead and break the gender inequality to give girls and women equal opportunities.

Thus, started Sewa International’s project of toilet building in India!

We have completed 407 toilets benefiting 24989 school children and 7803 families. Our aim for 2019 is to complete 523 toilets in 5 Indian states - Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

Our ongoing Google funded Project of building 50 toilets at Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi) and Karnataka (Belgaon) is near completion.

Kindly help make every girl’s dream to be educated possible.
