Youth Engagement Program for High School Students
General Eligibility: Incoming and current Grade 8-12 students. They should always be sincere in their commitment to the values of Sewa and act with integrity and discipline.
Program Dates : February to October 2022
Selection Criteria: Limited seats; enrolled on a first-come first-serve basis. Open to all nationalities, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
Registration Fee: $50 per student. $25 for additional sibling.
Commitment : Each participant is expected to commit 100 hours sincerely
As a part of the LEAD program, young adults are provided with opportunities to participate and / or lead various activities and to earn volunteering hours. Certificates will be provided through Sewa International as well as Presidential Service Award recommendation
Get Involved in the following volunteering opportunities in 2022:
1. Highway Cleanup
2. Blood Drive
3. Environment and Sustainability
4. Create your own DIY initiative to address community needs.
5. Sewa Diwali
6. Fundraising to support Sewa Projects
7. Design to Lead - Design thinking methodology to address community needs, developed by Stanford University Professor.
NOTE: All the LEAD participants are requested to sign the waiver form and send it to sewachicago@sewausa.org.
