This activity will involve rebuilding a garden in Riverbank School situated at 1100 Carrie St, West Sacrament, CA 95605. The garden area is 15 ft X 40 ft. The project is expected to start on October 29, 2022, and will last three weeks. The Sewa volunteers will work only on Saturday from 8 AM to 12 PM. The project requires the volunteers to do the site cleaning (pull out most of the season off plants, Disassemble/Remove Garden Boxes, Dig and Remove grass/Weeds from 3 -4 inches depth, and Pull soil towards the lower side), build new garden boxes, place the new garden boxes, place tarp, place weed barrier, mulch pathways, fill boxes with garden soil and compost, install drip irrigation, etc.
All required tools and items will be provided. The volunteers need to bring water bottles, hats, sun cream, and work/garden gloves.
Every volunteer has to sign IRC's and SEWA's waiver form.
