A great opportunity to experience the joy of giving by getting involved in community service, meet socially aware community leaders, develop leadership, teamwork and organizational skills, and have fun along the way besides achieving Sewa recognition certificate and United States PVSA - Presidential Volunteer Service Award** (conditions apply).
General Eligibility: High School Students including rising freshman (8th grade students going to 9th grade in the Fall of 2023) to 12th grade. Students should be sincere in their commitment to the values of Sewa with integrity and discipline.
Program Objectives:
- Expose the youth to socially conscious leadership in the community
- Experience the joy of giving by getting involved in the community service projects
- Develop a strong sense of inspiration and motivation as they venture into the world
Selection criteria:
Limited seats, on first come first served basis. Open to all racial, ethnic, religious, and gender backgrounds.

Program duration: February to October 2023

DTL (Design-To-LEAD) : Use the principles of design thinking to solve society's problems. This program is led by a Stanford University Professor. Intensive program requiring a commitment of weekly 4 hours for 6-8 months.

- DTL meetings on zoom/online will be held on:
Sundays 1pm - 2:30pm EST
- Commitment to attend all the DTL sessions every Sunday is required

**must be a US citizen or Permanent resident to be eligible for PVSA. All students completing 50 hrs or more will receive Sewa Certificates irrespective of citizenship status. The PVSA will be awarded as per the guidelines mentioned on this website.
