Sewa Serve @ Second Harvest of Silicon Valley

Sewa International has partnered with Second Harvest of Silicon Valley for this event. Volunteers will help us set up tables, unload food, distribute groceries and fresh produce to clients, and clean up. Some repeated bending and heavy lifting may be required.

Additional Info:

• Volunteers for this shift must be at least 16 years old.
• Adult guardians are required to actively volunteer with teens 15 and under.
• Electronic permission from a legal guardian is required in advance for volunteers under 18.
• If you are not feeling well, please cancel and join us another time.
• Volunteers under the age of 18 require a guardian's electronic consent at least 48 hours before the volunteer shift.
• Parking may be limited, so carpooling is advised. Second Harvest is not responsible for your valuables, so please leave all valuables in the trunk of your car.
• Your health and safety is a top priority. Learn more about our health and safety requirements for more information.
• Mask use is optional and encouraged indoors. Outdoor distributions do not require masks.
• Masks are optional and encouraged if indoors.
• Wear closed toed shoes. Long pants are highly recommended but not required. Sleeveless shirts and sandals are not permitted.
• Please tie back long hair and avoid wearing loose or dangly jewelry.
• Wear comfortable clothing and if needed, bring sunglasses, sunscreen and hats. Dress for the weather as most distributions are entirely outdoors and may not protected from sun, wind or rain.
• Bring water and snacks. It can get very hot and volunteering involves physical activity. Come prepared so you can keep your energy level up!
