Serve Bay Area - GreenFriends Farm [December 2024]

Sewa International has partnered with GreenFriends Farm for this event. Volunteers will contribute to both indoor and outdoor activities at GreenFriends Farm. You will be helping with one of the following activities:

• Mulching the Orchard Hillside: Volunteers will help spread organic mulch across the orchard hillside to enrich the soil, retain moisture, and suppress weeds.
• Seed Ball Making (Indoor Activity): Volunteers will create seed balls—a mix of seeds, clay, and compost—that can be later dispersed in the orchard or other community areas.

Additional Details:

• All volunteers are welcome, regardless of experience level. GreenFriends volunteers will provide training and guidance for all tasks.
• Please dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes for outdoor activities.
• All skill levels are welcome! We will provide all necessary tools and guidance.
• Snacks, refreshments and vegetarian lunch will be provided.
