Serve Bay Area - GreenFriends Farm [May 2025]

Sewa International has partnered with GreenFriends Farm for this event. Volunteers will contribute to both indoor and outdoor activities at GreenFriends Farm. You will be helping with one of the following activities:

• Orchard Tree Care

• Kitchen Packing and Cleaning

• Knitting Hats for the homeless and Scarves for hospice patients

• Temple Care (Cleaning and Organization)

Date and Time: Saturday, May 31st, 2025, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: 10200 Crow Canyon Rd, Castro Valley, CA 94552

Additional Details:

1. All volunteers are welcome, regardless of experience level. GreenFriends volunteers will provide training and guidance for all tasks.
2. Please dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, long sleeves and hat for outdoor activities.
3. Consider bringing your own knitting needles such as 11, 13 or 15 bulky weight yarn. Michael's or Hobby Lobby sell knitting supplies. Supplies will be provide if volunteers don't bring their own.
4. Refillable water bottle.
5. Gardening gloves (if you have them)
6. All skill levels are welcome! We will provide all necessary tools and guidance.
   
7. Snacks, refreshments and vegetarian lunch will be provided.
