"Hurricane Ian which made landfall in Florida on Wednesday, September 28 has devastated large parts of the Sunshine State. It is now being labeled as a one in five-hundred year event. Large parts of Florida's southwest coast is a massive debris and water-clogged area. The destruction goes on and on and on for miles. Ian brought with it 150 mph winds and massive amounts of rain that led to life-threatening storm surges -- flooding homes and buildings, destroying and damaging piers and roads, and causing a major if not a catastrophic weather event, the costs of which are going to be in the billions of dollars.
In this hour of need, we should ensure all hands are on deck, and we at Sewa International are pitching in and planning to help the state authorities, as well as residents, begin relief efforts. We therefore request your generous donations in support of our Hurricane Ian Relief effort.
