St. Vincent House is a dedicated hospitality house that serves as a home away from home for families who struggle financially with the costs of hotels and food in order to be near a loved one who is hospitalized.
Sewa Indianapolis chapter prepares dinner once a month and Drops Breakfast for the next day.
It is our tiny effort to provide the comforts of home so that a family can maintain their daily rituals as much as possible amid tough circumstances.

Youth Engagement Program for High School Students
General Eligibility: Incoming and Current High Schoolers (Grade 8-12). All participants should always exhibit commitment to the values of Sewa and act with integrity and discipline.
Program Dates : October 1st 2024 to September 30th, 2025
Selection Criteria: Limited seats; enrolled on a first-come first-serve basis. Open to all nationalities, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
Registration Fee: $100 per student
Registration Deadline: October 30,2024
Commitment : Each participant is expected to commit to at least 35 hours of volunteering.
NOTE: All the LEAD participants are requested to sign Milwaukee waiver form: https://tinyurl.com/mkewaiver
Here is a sample list of activities:
1. Adopt a Highway cleanup
2. Environment and Sustainability - tree planting, mulching and other environmental projects in southeastern Wisconsin in partnership with the DNR.
3. Create your own DIY initiative to address community needs - E.G: breast cancer awareness campaign
4. #SewaDiwali Food Drive
5. Fundraising to support Sewa Projects
6. Grocery and hot meals distribution for people-in-need - Volunteering at soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters.
7. Concert fundraising for SAC (Sponsor a Child)
8.DIY Sewa(Plan an Execute your Idea and Chapter will support)

As a part of the LEAD program, the youth are provided with opportunities to participate and / or lead various activities and to earn volunteering hours.

LEAD PA/DE 2025 - Leadership Program for High School Students
General Eligibility: High School Students ( in or incoming), i.e, current 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th graders. Only students who are sincerely committed to the Sewa mission should apply.
Selection Criteria: Limited seats, on first come first serve basis.
Application Deadline: January 1st, 2025 (will close early if we reach capacity)
Please Note: Each applicant must be accompanied by an adult volunteer, who can participate in the Sewa LEAD activities. Adult volunteers are mandated to participate 4 hours every month for mentoring the youth (youth volunteers could be prevented from attending activities if adult volunteers do not participate).

Sewa Chicago LEAD 2025
Eligibility for LEAD: Incoming and Current High Schoolers (Grades 8-12)
Eligibility for Design To Lead (DTL): Minimum 1 year experience with LEAD and currently in Grade 9 or above
Program Dates : December 2024 to October 2025
Registration Fee: $100 per student. $75 for each sibling
Registration Deadline: Sunday, November 24, 2024
Sewa Milan - LEAD Kickoff: Saturday, December 7, 2024
Commitment: All participants should exhibit commitment to the values of Sewa and act with integrity and discipline always. Each participant is expected to commit to at least 100 hours of volunteering. Parents need to commit to being the activity coordinator for at least 2 activities during the program and need to continuously support their children. Each DTL participant needs to commit to consistent participation in the weekly learning sessions. Parents of DTL participants need to be a mentor for their child's team on a rotational basis.
Benefits: As part of the LEAD program, young adults are provided with opportunities to participate and / or lead various activities and to earn volunteering hours. Sewa International will provide certificates as well as a recommendation for The President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for qualified participants. Volunteering hours accumulated through LEAD activities will only be counted.

North Jersey LEAD 2025
A great opportunity to experience the joy of giving by getting involved in community service, meet socially aware community leaders, develop leadership, teamwork and organizational skills, and have fun along the way besides achieving Sewa recognition certificate and United States PVSA - Presidential Volunteer Service Award* (conditions apply).
Project location: North Jersey
Duration: Jan 2025 - Nov 2025, minimum 100 hours of community service required to complete.
General Eligibility: 1.High school students (in or in-coming). Students must be currently in 8th grade and above. 8th-12th grader only 2. Students need to be sincerely committed to the values of Sewa with integrity and discipline.
3. Parent involvement is required where needed and must commit at least 15 hours on any of the LEAD activity.
4. Parents are required to sign a waiver and picture release form for the student to participate in the NJ LEAD 2025 Program (“Activity”) conducted by Sewa International, Inc.
Selection criteria: Limited seats, on first come first served basis. Equal opportunity employer. Open to all racial, ethnic, religious, and gender backgrounds.
Program fee: $125/candidate to cover costs of running the program.

“Mangala Nidhi” roughly translates to “auspicious welfare” in Sanskrit. It is a great way to involve your family and friends in financially contributing to our organization’s work during your family events. It is inspired by the Hindu ethos of sharing our life’s joyous and auspicious moments with society, and a practical medium to channel our personal and family happiness towards community and social responsibility.
Lead is a engagement program for current High School students & College youth. Through this program, students interact with community leaders and successful professionals through engaging symposiums and field visits throughout the months of June and July.

Lead Houston is an annual summer internship program for high school students. This program offers students the opportunity to directly serve the community, learn from leading members of the Houston area, and develop skills that can be carried throughout their educational and professional careers.
Get Inspired Houston (GIH) is an annual summer internship program offered to young adults and college/university students geared towards assisting the welfare of immigrant and refugee communities.
