"Empathize to Empower" - Calling all Artists & Writers... Sewa Bay Area has launched the annual Arts and Literature Competition 2021 for young artists or writers age 5 to adults Age 18+. This year the theme is "Empathize to Empower". It is even more important in these times of COVID and Fire crisis for all of us to be empathetic, be aware, be sensitive about the feelings and experiences of others in our society. You can participate under different categories, create a story, poetry, painting, photography, or videos about the theme. Encourage your kids to participate and express Empathy. All submissions are due September 12th, 2021.

All submissions will be judged and winners will be announced at the end of October and awarded certificates. 

All submissions will be showcased in an e-book series that will later be published with the goal of documenting pieces of work illustrating stories that resonate with this year and global events.

This year has been a whirlwind of events, feelings, and experiences that have impacted all of us  from across the globe and our mission to provide an opportunity and platform to tell those stories whether it be through word or artistic expressions.
