The Avanti Foundation is partnering with Sewa USA and KMECT in India to raise funds for an eye hospital specializing in cataract surgeries at the existing Ramakrishnan Mission Medical Centre in Jammu, India. Our goal is to raise more than $150,000 by the end of 2024.

Cataracts are the leading cause of blindness in India, affecting people earlier in life than in other parts of the world. According to NCBI, an estimated 9 million people in India are blind due to cataracts, with 1.8–3.8 million new cases added each year.” This will help to highlight how severe the problem is in India at an early age and which is completely curable.
