Sewa International hosts successful workshop "Introduction to STEM robotics" event at Morse Middle School - 11 Jan 25
Sewa International is partnering with schools and local organizations to organize multiple FREE hands on sessions for Milwaukee area students to learn STEM through lego robot.
Morse Middle School, WI – On January 12, 2025, Morse Middle School buzzed with excitement as it hosted the "Intro to STEM Robotics" event, organized by Sewa Milwaukee and GE Healthcare. The initiative brought together more than 75 students eager to explore the world of robotics, innovation, and engineering.
The event was supported by a dynamic group of volunteers, including Sewa Milwaukee, GE Healthcare, FTC Team Error 418, and FTC Team Superstellar. Their efforts played a crucial role in guiding the students through various activities and missions, ensuring the event's success.
“Thanks to all the teams for making a difference,” said a spokesperson for the organizers. “This event is a step toward inspiring students to aspire for careers in engineering and other fields that emphasize logic and innovation. We hope it will help reduce high school dropout rates.”
Students participated in engaging challenges, with several winning prizes for successfully completing missions. The ultimate goal of the event is to spark interest in robotics and motivate schools without robotics programs to start their own teams.
Many Schools have requested more information towards organizing a similar workshop in their school for their students as well. For those who are interested in organizing a session, here is the link to detailed information sewausa.org/mke-stem-robotics
