The second wave of the COVID- 19 pandemic is rapidly spreading in Kerala. Active cases of the virus have been found in all 14 districts. New hot spots/clusters are developing in villages and small towns. Lack of awareness/literacy is worsening the situation and lack of medical facilities; supply of oxygens is causing increase in fatal cases. This may lead to a devastating situation if proper care is not provided.

Sewa International has started a fundraising campaign to setup covid care centers in rural areas of Kerala, ensure the supply of lifesaving medical equipment like oxygen-concentrators, pulse oximeter, medicines, and ventilators.
