Suparna's campaign to support College education of girls
Suparna's Campaign for girls college education
Woman empowerment begins with GIRLS' EDUCATION!
Let’s support these girls with the power of education and shape them into strong, confident and educated women!
My dear family & friends,
For the past few years I have held this campaign, and it has been a great success! Thank you to all the donors from the past few years - the students you have supported are on their way to becoming doctors, teachers, CPA’s, and business women!
With the additional challenges this year has brought, it is even more important to support these young women. The student drop-out rate between classes 1-10 has reduced drastically in India, however the drop out rate post class 10 to college is still a major issue. According to a NSSO report, the average annual private fee per student between 2007 and 2016 has increased by six times. That is why, this year I have shifted my focus to providing merit based scholarships for female students with financial needs so that they can complete class 11-12 and graduate.
Vidya Chetana, a program started in 2009 by Youth for Seva (Bangalore), supports underprivileged students by connecting them to donors. Funds raised through this campaign will directly support young women so they can continue their education after class 10.
I believe in a world where girls have the opportunity to learn to their full potential and lead with confidence! Join me in supporting this amazing effort by making a tax deductible donation to my page. The process is fast, easy and secure - and best of all, it supports a great cause.
Let’s make a difference in the lives of these young girls!!
